Trailer Maintenance

Its important to remember to give your trailer some attention! We listed out some things to regularly check to help keep your trailer in top shape and to avoid headaches for you later.  

1) Always remember to rinse the salt off after each use

2) Check tire pressure, it should be at max rating that is stamped on the tire

3) Jack the tire until it is off of the ground then spin each tire and listen to make sure the bearings are smooth 

4) Keep lug nuts greased so there will not be any issues when you have to change a tire

5) Check bunk brackets and hardware for rust 

6) Make sure springs are in good shape and not rusted 

7) Double check the trailer lights. If you are going on a road trip with your boat in tow, bring spare bulbs just in case

8) Wire brush the plug ins on the car and trailer side to ensure a good connection
